What a gorgeous and profound piece of writing! I am in awe of your perceptive eye and how well it coordinates with your pen. Few could craft anything finer in my opinion.

Thank you for YOUR kind words, Michael. It was odd because when I first looked at the disintegrating fennel I found it to be so attractive. But then I took the photo and I just kept coming back to that photo. I don't know if it was reaching out to me or if I was trying to reach out to it. The lines, the golden tones, the chaos yet order - it all fit together. Thank you for reading.

So much to love here, starting with this: "Now there is a luminous unraveling. There is no straight path, no obvious symmetry, just motion captured in stillness. It’s a lovely cascade of delicate threads, dancing the way we humans dance at the completion of big tasks. She is golden. She is beautiful." So goes our lives when we trust the universe, as you say.

Oh Graciewilde,

First ,forgive that my thoughts have been on hold. Well, not really. They have just been laden with the blue of serious sadness. So I had to take myself out of the fast traffic and park along side the road to feel safe.

What a perfect writing about fennel. I had never seen that, but it so coincides with something I saw on Netflix: Ancient Apocalypses, the Americas….. in one part he talks of the ancient Incas of Peru studying the sky in a way we still do not…. They were educated about their own existence by following the stars. They felt that and honored the “Milky Way “as a pathway of souls going to their next life. In the center was the brightest star. I think Venus? … anyway the documentary is so spell binding that I have been lifted out of my grief and now just watch everything nature has to tell us and is telling us every second.

I have a Kale plant that is rebounding to its’ second life.

Also a climbing , red flowered beauty that wraps its’ own tails around and around itself in order to climb and to survive. Forgive this old girl… forgot the name of my flowering , climbing beauty. But, your readers will recognize.

I am healed by your beautiful writing and by your photos.

Wow! I like that notion that the ancient Incas had regarding the Milky Way. What an image! Thank you for telling me about that. Nature does have a lot to tell us but we have to be willing to listen, right?

Thank you for your kind words. You know I think of you often, especially as you continue to grieve your sister. I'm glad my words and photos bring you comfort.
