Hello, April!
Thank you, March
March bounced out the back door last night, still on a high from the No Kings Day demonstration on Saturday. The earlier part of her reign had been poisoned by war, by ICE, by threats to democracy, by greed and ruthless behaviors. She rejoiced in the energy and hope that over eight million people brought to the world on that day. She could let go of the planet knowing that there were many people supporting an agenda of love and compassion.
As the sunlight vanished into deep blue, March marveled at what she had accomplished this month. She had brought more light and more warmth into the world. She had carried the earth forward another month, allowing blossoms to appear, basketballs to bounce, and baseballs to open their season. She was glad to have raised the curtain on spring in a world that was tired of violence, inequality, and injustice.
As the back door slammed shut, April scampered up the front porch steps. She was eager to celebrate her season, eager to carpet the world in new-spring color. She was well aware that her forever legacy is rebirth. She is the queen of blue sky, puffy white cloud days. She embraces the thing with feathers and delights in bringing joy and chocolate to the world. She is on a mission and has faith that the world is ready for her. Are you?
