Since life is constantly changing, maybe we just expect that a portal will confront us soon.

The pisser is that we may not recognize it.

Soooooo... maybe just act like everything's a portal.

I’ve passed over several powerful thresholds in my life - kids leaving home & then entering the empty nest stage of life, leaving a marriage after 30 years of hard work & learning I could only change me, and many years later moving back to my homeland, actualizing an old dream. It wasn’t easy, but certainly worth it to follow my heart & be true to myself. What a journey, this life.

I wish you well.

Yes, I can imagine those kinds of moves were not easy, especially leaving the marriage after thirty years and returning to your homeland. I’ve made some big moves in my life but lately it feels like it is enough just to get up and face whatever horrific piece of news there is that day. The threshold I may be traversing at this minute is the one that accepts what the universe is presenting and goes from there. Thanks for your encouragment.

Beautiful reflection on portals that balances their literal doorway meaning with the deeper idea of openings that change us.

I like how you link stories like Wonderland and Narnia to real life moments like a diagnosis or a chance meeting, showing that stepping through a portal takes courage and can lead to real transformation.
