It’s been a hard few weeks. No point in going into details but let’s just say a few consecutive sunny days and a return to strong health for all would help turn things around. Lately I have been thinking a lot about how life is unpredictable. What did Forest Gump say? Life is a box of chocolates and you never know which one you’re going to get? Life is about surprises and I, for one, am hoping for some good surprises. By good, I mean joyful moments that make a person happy to be alive.
Change is inevitable and memories are fallible, but love is well-nigh eternal. Not the little lives- they too come and go. But Love itself abides like Time- if it ever end, all thing end.
Oh all those delicious things one can discover in the dirt!
Joy and amazement are two very desirable traits. It is easy to think that only our young experienced those emotions.
Our joy and amazement has to be derived from watching others claim their fair share of that “life” . We get our joy and amazement by watching the familiar reactions that young people show. We recognize those miracle moments because we have had them. And they are the moments we collect and then digest for the rest of our lives. It is keeping the circle of magic going from one generation to another. How fun.
I just learned that my dear friend( long ago boyfriend) has third stage lung cancer! He never smoked. Amazement greeted his news by me. And then horrific sadness . I will keep my focus on our tiny explorers. Their joy is mine. And the cold and terrifying news we keep being faced with will sink into that same dirt and become something else one day. Something that looks like joy.
Yes, it WILL change! Then change again! Adorable picture, it says "spring" and "play" and "hope for the future"...are you seeing spring flowers yet? I hope that helps...
