I was struck with this question that was posed by someone on Twitter recently: What is something you would go back and tell your younger self that would impress/amaze them? At first, I thought that I would want to tell my younger self that really? Really, it was all going to be okay. I used to worry so much about how my children were going to turn out or what job I would have or would the house deal work out or what were we going to have for dinner? I mean, everything. I worried about everything. And it's not as if I am done with worrying. Somehow, though, I have come to learn that things will work out. I can't rid life of every tragedy and every sadness but things do eventually work out.
I would tell myself “Don’t be afraid to try, because if you fail, that’s not the end. And you’ll most likely learn something that will be of benefit later.”
Hi Gracie, love your name Gracie Wilde. What I would say now:
"What you know & feel in your heart is YOU. There is only one of you. Do not be swayed by any word or sword to cut down this beautiful blossoming tree of thee. You see magic, because you are magic. I think you're grand! Now, go play and learn without attaching yourself to the outcome. This is the life of a true free spirit. And you know you have always been that.
Gracie, thanks for this today. And thanks for a nice short stack.
Honestly I don't know if I would give any "advice".
I might say engagement turns thinking into experience. Every experience will always be your gold when looked at from the correct angle.
I might say, you will live many lives in this one lifetime. Always care for your body and your mind, for when you start with the next one.
I might say, don't label yourself, it will be outdated before long, (Don't get any tattoos, physical nor mental).
I might say, don't go deep into any hole, learn to recognize it from the shallow part.
I might say feeling is your best friend, it flags where you are.
I might say observe, and compare if you want to, but you will never be them and they will never give a darn about you. It is only you that is in charge of you.
I might say society is our best attempt, even though some people describe it differently. Consider what could be your part?
I would never say be nice; or avoid negativity. You learn so much from negative attempts.
I love what you told your younger self. I think I would say something very similar. If I wanted to astonish her, I would say, Someday you will sail around the world with your handsome husband and two beautiful children. If I wanted to astonish her even more, I would say, Just wait until you turn 70, it's wonderful being so alive as such an age.
Great question, Gracie. I would tell my younger self to relax, love more, be more compassionate to myself and others. It all works out in the end...somehow 😎

I'd say the truer you are to yourself the better life gets, so find a place where that's possible.
