The last light of February stormed out the door this evening. She was hidden by her raincoat and umbrella and seemed pissed at the world. Maybe she was irritated because it was the 29th day of the month, the bonus day of the leap year, and she had assumed she could choose to take the month out in a shower of sunshine. Ah, but she forgot that she doesn’t get to choose the weather. She also apparently forgot to let go of expectations and roll with whatever comes her way.
JT, I believe your closing line, "Your best bet is to breathe in the light and breathe out kindness. Trust that the ripple effect will save the world." is the key to our salvation. We cannot do much about the national circus, but we can, and do, impact each person we interact with. Thanks for the post!
The last light of February shown silver in the West from the eastern side of the bay. I will leave the raincoat aside and dance in the rain yelling for art and humanity. Ripples in the puddles glisten with our hopes. Now that spring comes again. And the drummers prepare.
"Breathe in light and breathe out kindness.l".."let the drummers prepare". It's like a beautiful call and response. Imagine such joy on a worldwide scale". The ancient and true religion.
