Hi Gracie, Happy New Year !

For years now I've chosen a Touchstone word ... using each letter to denote a reminder phrase. For 2024, it's going to be Diligence (something I need to cultivate). The accompanying phrases may change.

It's often been the end of the year before I can see the effects, as they're not necessarily what I was thinking of when I wrote them.

Those ARE good words! Thank you for posting them. Sadly, for me. although they are all worthy words, I would likely lose track of them 🤣     --- but I like the idea of making an acrostic to further emphasize the word in my head. I'm still pondering. SO many possibilities.

I print copies to display right by my desk and beside my computer so I can review them daily (and sometimes even think about them . If I don't they fade into oblivion.

I have a collection of short phrases that I live by. I carry them in my wallet and I even painted an abstract grid to show their shapes. I need those kinds of things. Just for fun, I am sending along a brief description of those mantras - scroll to the bottom of this post for the list. I wish I could post a photo in this reply to show you the artwork that I created to cement their content. Thank you for reading and responding the original post.

I , too, like appreciate and accept. I am trying to focus more on what I am grateful for and less on what I pine for.

Yes, I can often see and appreciate life as it is yet desire coexists with that awareness of gratitude. I aspire to trust that life is unfolding as it should. Not easy. Thanks for chiming in.

This makes me think of: create, accept and appreciate as three possibilities for myself.

I can see where all those words would be valuable nudge words, Bruce! Now you can ponder which one feels most like the direction you want to go in 2024. Thank you for playing along with me and sharing your ideas. I appreciate that.
